43. Whoops

Today I went on a beautiful hike full of red sandstone cliffs.

Today I saw a giant rattle snake.

Today I watched an amazing soccer game of 8 year old girls.

Today Abbey had her first book club.

Tonight... I am sitting in front of this laptop for hours trying to come up with my daily blog posting. It would have helped if I took some photographs during my day. But no photographs of the snake, canyon, club, or soccer. Not one. I have a ton of interesting shots in my head... but I didn't actually record them. So you are all stuck with what I am stuck with staring at tonight. Sorry.

  1. Well, to be honest, I like this one the best so far. It's real, you described your day and sure you had a lot of pics in your head, but that's not always the way things work out. But in the end your audience still has the priviledge of connecting with you on a personal level, by seeing what your seeing in this picture and that's what it's all about I think. Kudos, Windo. ttyl, Rick

  2. If I had your talent Rick I would draw everything I saw... but I don't! Thanks for the comments. It is nice to know that the posting wasn't too disappointing.

  3. Sometimes words paint a picture in our minds...when reading your blog today I saw a sandstone cliffs, a rattlesnake, and girls enjoying playing soccer. Maybe that's why art is so subjective - it interferes with our own mental image of what the world is like. Hmmm time for that first cup of coffee :)

  4. Today i spent hours in the photo lab on the COC campus trying to learn more about Photo shop and developing a photo with no film. This is a very strange and new world for me to explore, one of which I am excited to navigate. Some of the prints That I chose to actually print looked strange and unusual and some artistic. So it made me think about something wendy brought up during a class last year, What is Art Anyway? TJ
